The Hotel is the base of operations for all of the competitors in Mr. Confetti's Contest of Will. As far of the contest, and for their own safety and survival, all of the competitors, both PC and NPC, will be forced to spend valuable personal resources to upgrade it. The current description of The Hotel and its many areas are now available to be examined here, and this will be upgraded as the competitors make their upgrades. 

 

The building is immense. It was originally constructed by Prince Modius and his allies in their heyday when they had an actual opportunity to battle Prince Lodin in Chicago for control of the region. When the U.S. steel industry, the core of Prince Modius' financial structure, was intentionally destroyed by Lodin and his lieutenants, the war essentially ended, with Lodin the victor and Modius left with expenses he could no longer afford. The base was abandoned as Modius' allies fled the region in search of greener pastures and has not been used by anyone, despite its immense size, for decades. 

 

It is a monstrous building with 60 four room suites! It was built to house an army that never arrived, as Modius anticipated that there would be a huge battle that would result in him and his allies taking over Chicago, and for that, foot soldiers would have been needed. It never got to that, obviously. Mr. Confetti has recently acquired the building, and renamed it The Hotel. As a requirement of participating in the Contest of Will, all of the competitors must actively utilize the base. 

 

The current general state of The Hotel is: Fair. 

The place is still filthy as no cleaning staff has been hired. The elevator is still broken. 

 

Recently, the electrical wires have all been upgraded and a new generator installed into the basement level. This has more than quadrupled the amount of power that the facility can run and there are no issues with potential electrical faulting of any kind. In addition, high optic fiber cable was installed so internet and cable access are as fast as they could possibly be. However, there is no internet source right now, so the cables are currently useless.  

 

The windows have been upgraded. They are tinted on the outside so no sunlight can enter successfully. People inside can see out, but there is no harm of burning. In addition, they are all bulletproof. Security doors have been added to the front and back of The Hotel and only those with keycards can get in. A new security system involving infra-red motion detector cameras have been added to the roof, in the front and back by the doors, and facing both blind spot side streets. The monitor system is available in the lobby.
