​Point of Impact: The moment in your scene when you accomplish two objectives simultaneously - You move the plot forward AND you stimulate the audience at an extremely high emotional level. This is difficult to accomplish, and you need to accomplish it each and every scene!

 

Utilizing Brevity and Powerful Language: These two skills are different but go together. Brevity is the art of using the least amount of words to make the most impact. Powerful language means choosing exactly the right words, and making sure that the ones that create emotion are situated near the end of the sentence. 

 

Character Voice: Are each of your characters individuals or do they all sound the same? If I took the names off the dialogue headings and just read the dialogue, would I always know which of your characters was speaking?
