Who will become the new Prince of Chicago? Likely the first candidate to get the support of four Primogen members, that's who! And that can be manipulated by the competitors in the Contest of Will! As well as everybody else. After all, everyone is in the Big Game.

Those Kindred shown here are only the known candidates. There are lots of candidates for Prince roaming around, trying to get support or attack other candidates. The more you learn, the better chance you'll have of manipulating the campaign so that an advantageous outcome occurs.

Primogen Support - The winning number is 4. If any Kindred gets 4 different Primogen to back him or her as Prince, then it will likely happen. If it does happen, any powerful Kindred who will not accept defeat will have to go to immediate war with the Kindred who has the support, though that is very risky. If the Primogen become convinced that a candidate has enough influence and/or power to hold the high seat, then they will step in and help squash the competition until everyone accepts the new Prince.

Elder Support - There are 7 Camarilla clans operating in Chicago - Brujah, Gangrel, Malkavian, Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere and Ventrue. The more clans that give their support to a particular candidate, the more attractive that candidate will be to the Primogen Council, as it will be clear that there can be peace and support with that Candidate in charge. So gaining the support from the elders of a particular clan can lead to swaying members of the Primogen Council as well as getting candidates from particular clans to step down and stop competing for the seat.

Anarch Support - The Anarch Movement is strong in the region, and they are making their opinion matter. Certain Elders want to crush them violently, but that will only lead to war. If a candidate achieves the seat of Prince that the Anarchs respect and feel their leadership can have discussions with, then matters might get settled politically and diplomatically. That might make a difference in the eyes of the Primogen Council, as fighting a three front war against the Anarch Movement, The Sabbat, and the Garou is a non-winnable scenario.

Personal Power - Some Kindred have personal power in the form of their blood and disciplines, others have it in the form of influence and military might. Each Kindred is rated from one -- which is pathetic -- to 10. Obviously, a weak prince can be pushed around by other, more influential Elders. But a powerful prince is not someone to be trifled with lightly. By itself, this rating will not make a candidate Prince. But anyone who achieves an 8 or higher will have to be seriously considered by the Primogen Council as a legitimately powerful candidate.
