Michael must have been his sire's idea of a joke. He is clearly a large, retarded teenager who was almost immediately abandoned. Somehow he has survived, much to the chagrin of Prince Modius. It is obvious that Michael is tolerated only because Allicia, the Prince's own childe, has a soft spot for him.
