Katarina has not yet taken over Exova, but she is in the process. She has taken full measure of their scientific experiments and has found a few flaws which she has corrected. She knows by showing these secrets to their Board of Directors, they will bring her in to help run the company. Then she will have full run of the laboratories, and should make a sizable fortune with the new materials she has helped to invent. They need all of the help they can get. While the company as a whole is in decent shape, this outlet in Gary is sorely lacking. The company isn't sure if it's going to keep this particular location open, which would prove a huge detriment to Katarina's plans.

Katarina easily influenced the night manager Gretchen with the promise of a sexy body and unlimited wealth and power.
As a result, she is starting to take over the company that provides electricity to a large part of Gary, Indiana.
The company has been badly mismanaged for awhile though, and the board is looking for a buyout.

Gretchen, the night manager, has agreed to work with Katarina in exchange for Katarina using her incredible powers to enhance Gretchen's life.
Physical Assets and Retainers:
The Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird can achieve speeds of 190 mph! It is among the finest motorcyles in its class.
Katarina won this as a contest prize in round 1 for successfully completing a Prestation Task for a Kindred in Gary.
The Shadow Agent works for Katarina's family in Romania, and is her primary retainer in this region.
He is extremely capable and has a versatile range of skills. His identity is unknown, but he clearly defers to Katarina in all ways and will do her bidding.
Special Powers and Abilities:
Katarina has displayed a high degree of competence at flesh-crafting, to the extent that she was able to take Andy and transform him physically into a perfect clone of Tommy Hinds. She then turned him back with a snap of her fingers!
Katarina is a brilliant scientist with centuries of experience in many different fields. But she has a special gift for social experiments on entire societies, and can potentially transform any area into one where Kindred will thrive. She has yet to perform one of these experiments in Gary or Chicago, but it is inevitable that she will.
