Grapevine Quests

While the players are competitors in Mr. Confetti's Contest of Will, there is a lot more to do in the Chicago-Gary region that just the game. There are lots of Kindred, mortals, and other creatures that will want the players' help. There are mysteries that open up that can be investigated. There are clan and faction quests. Lots to do! As new grapevine quests open up, they will be listed here.

While Mr. Confetti's Task List is eternal, as new players join the Contest of Will and need to start at Round 1, many Grapevine Quests are TIME SENSITIVE. If you see this listed next to the title of the quest, you have limited time to do the quest. In a living world, there are ramifications if you do a quest, and likewise, if you don't. Perhaps an NPC competitor will do the quest and you can read about that adventure in the dramatization write-up. Maybe it will simply expire. In such cases, the ramifications may be minor or earth-shaking, depending on what's going on.

Mr. Confetti, being a happy, go-lucky kind of guy, will often add great rewards for completing these quests. He seems to want to make everything that happens part of his game!

1. Who is Bronwyn?

Strohman, Prince Modius' butler, has been secretly spying on the Prince, reporting his plans and activities to someone named Bronwyn for over a decade. Who is Bronwyn? And what is he or she after?

2. Tammy Walenski's Problem

Tammy Walenski is a Nosferatu in Chicago. She has a problem, though what it is has not been identified. Alexander Danov made it a point not to discuss it, telling Mortimer that it would be better to see it then for him to discuss it. To do this quest, you need to go to Tammy Walenski's address in Chicago and investigate.

3. Map Points

Mortimer found a map of Chicago in the basement of The Hotel. There are eight strange symbols on the map, each in a different location on the map! This is not one quest, it is 8 separate quests. At any time, you can choose to travel to one of the eight map points and scout it out, to see what might be there.

4. The Big Frame - TIME SENSITIVE QUEST

Prince Modius demands to know who slaughtered 42 police officers in his domain. Of course it was Marshall Barry, but that's not something the competitors can allow him or anyone else to find out. Only one thing to do! Frame somebody!

In this case, the players have voted and decided that the Ventrue Elders needs to take the fall on this one. Getter done before the truth is learned or before somebody else frames somebody else!

5. Garwood Marshall - TIME SENSITIVE QUEST

Reverend Jeremiah Thomas has been charged by his clan to investigate the apparent capture of the immortal spirit of Garwood Marshall. He attempted to deliver an address in Gary to Nicolai, his Primogen, as part of his last will and testament. But instead, he fell into a magical trap. Now Jeremiah must find and confront this enemy before the secrets of Clan Tremere are compromised. He must either save or destroy the spirit of Garwood in the process.

6. The Childless Unicorn

This is a tome that contains the secret to unraveling the cursed ichor that a Garou spat onto the arm of Tremere Elder Abraham DuSable. Whoever finds this text first will unlock the secret that DuSable wants to learn most.

7. Interference

As a result of Ventrue Joseph Peterson's successful public frame, the FBI are soon going to arrive in Gary in full force to take out the Sin City gang. If Juggler finds out though, he might be able to stop it and save his troops from harm. As a step in the repayment of his debt to Peterson, the Gangrel Marshall Barry must find a way to distract Juggler when the FBI are due to storm the city.

Marshall could use some help with this one.

8. Investigate Maria's disappearance

Maria, the most powerful Toreador in Chicago, has disappeared! Where has she gone? Investigate and find out!
